Our approach

Methodologies Utilised 
 A mathematical hybrid of:

Consumption Method: This was a cost-inclusive, consumption-based method, which relies on data ownership, a repository or platform with consumable data and consumers to consume the data.




Adapted Shapley’s Value Method: To calculate the value of an data set used for AI, based on its contribution to algorithms. This method is specifically used for AI data valuation

- A bespoke data decay model was used based on average data age, rate of decay and industry level factors

Why it was selected


An additive hybrid of the two methods were selected because:

 

Consumption: The assessment platform contains consumable data from old customers, that is being consumed by new customers

 

• Cost: Unique data from body parts and patients have a replacement value

Insights & Recommendations

• Value by client and pathway and additional value by client

• Value under different data quality conditions

• Potential missed value due to incomplete assessments and deprioritised use cases

• Development of a split “platform to data” where the two can be sold to separate interested parties
